For over twenty years Galerie Bernard Dulon has been dedicating the main part of its activities to the representation of the tribal societies ancient times art. Outstanding exhibitions, mostly accompanied by reference catalogs have thus marked its history.
Bernard Dulon, a renowned expert member of La Compagnie Nationale des Experts since 1985 and a specialist of so called primitive arts, made himself known by the general public as a commissioner for exhibitions which at the time were highly praised both by national and international press, particularly for the château de Tanlay – Lumière Noire, 1997- or for the Iber Caja foundation in Saragosse.
In september 2002, the Gallery inaugurated its new space rue Jacques Callot in Paris with the presentation of selected african art pieces from the Arman collection.
In june 2003, with West Dreams it proposed a discovery of West Africa masterpieces. In may 2004, its successful collaboration with the Friedman-Vallois gallery resulted the presentation of African Art in New York. In september of the same year, Ferrari collection Lobi art was “Guest of Honour” at the Gallery which simultaneously participated in the XXIInd Biennale des Antiquaires de Paris.
In june 2006, upon Musée du Quai Branly opening the gallery presented an important exhibition dedicated to the Arts of Cameroon which then took off for New York in October. In September it was another participation in the Biennale des Antiquaires.
In may 2007 Bernard Dulon is back to the Friedman Vallois gallery in New-York with African Masks.
