Ritual masks and contemporary art

A hundred masks from the Museum’s world-famous collection, together with some thirty from other European museums and private collections, will be exhibited alongside a number of contemporary works of arts and installations by African artists.

The idea of identity is crucial to both the traditional masks and the contemporary artworks.
